Our Story
TrackActive was founded on a passion for integrating technology and physiotherapy together to improve accessibility and service quality for helping people manage MSK conditions. TrackActive began in Australia in 2013 and successfully launched a clinical exercise and outcomes measurements software ‘TrackActive Pro’ for health professionals in 2015. We expanded to the UK in 2016 and launched ‘TrackActive Me’ as a self-help application in March 2020. We are working with the NHS, Sport England, General Reinsurance Group, various insurers, and employers to help people manage and recover from MSK conditions.
Clinical Governance
We value the clinical safety and effectiveness of the TrackActive Me application in supporting people manage and prevent MSK conditions. TrackActive Me is a registered UKCA and CE Class 1 Medical Device with the MHRA, ensuring we meet the highest standards of compliance maintained in relation to application safety and effectiveness. This process requires a critical evaluation of the application including: chat assessment algorithms, diagnoses, and exercise programs which are approved by experienced health professionals and clinical governance team at London South Bank University. Our application is also being used in research projects in both UK and Australia to assess suitability for wider applications.
Information Security
As a digital health application we understand the importance for information security and user data protection and privacy. Our technical infrastructure maintains excellent standards of compliance aligned to principles of UK GDPR (2018) for responsible processing and protection of user data. We complete the NHS Data security & protection toolkit each year to ensure we comply and are up-to-date with world-leading information security and data protection standards. We also meet additional security measures required by our clients and partners relevant for their organisation.
